Takuya Yamazaki
Takuya Yamazaki gained his LLB from Waseda University (Tokyo, Japan) in 1993. He then qualified as an attorney-at- law in Japan and was admitted into the Dai-Ni Tokyo Bar Association in 1997. In 2001 Takuya founded Field-R Law Offices, a specialized sports and entertainment law practice, where he currently serves as the Founding Partner.
Takuya holds a number of executive positions in international and domestic sports organizations, including CAS arbitrator, Chairman of FIFPRO Asia / Oceania, board member of the World Players Association, advisory panel member in the Grievance Mechanism for the Tokyo 2020 Sustainable Sourcing Code, and board member / the Secretary General of the Japan Sports Law Association. He has also served as a member of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (2009-2019) and a member of special committees of sports organizations such as Japan Sports Arbitration Agency (JSAA), Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Organizing Committee, and Japan Sports Association.
Takuya has received a number of honours and recognition including ‘Best Lawyers International’ (consecutively from 2009 until now as one of the ‘Best Lawyers’ in the fields of ‘Media and Entertainment Law’ and ‘Sports’ in Japan - http: //www.bestlawyers.com/).
