CIAM publishes a manual for using its virtual platform
The Madrid International Arbitration Centre (CIAM) has published a manual for using its virtual platform for telematic procedures, a method that has been used extensively this year.
In the seven pages contained in this document, this arbitration institution defines how the platform is structured, explains how to keep the digital file and details the security methods available on the platform.
Since the spread of COVID throughout the world, traditional legal procedures have had to adapt to new virtual currents, carrying out legal procedures by telematic means. The arbitration institutions have also adapted, and their tireless search for innovation and their eminently international nature has encouraged the implementation of telematic methods for the conduct of arbitration proceedings.
This manual is one of many documents published by the different international arbitration institutions. At the same time, several law firms have published a protocol for the correct conduct of arbitration proceedings.
