Meet Marie-Aimée de Dampierre, next chair of Hogan Lovells
---
Hogan Lovells has recently appointed Marie-Aimée de Dampierre, partner in the Paris office and current regional managing partner for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, as the firm's next chair. She will hold the position for the next three years, effective 1 May 2021
Maire-Aimée will replace current chairman Leopold von Gerlach, who, after completing a three-year term, has decided to return to specialising in Intellectual Property.
The tasks of the chairman are relevant for the law firm. Promotes the culture in the organisation on a global level, oversees the proper due diligence of the partners and internal rules and can play an advisory role with the firm's own partners.
Marie-Aimée's extensive professional background qualifies her for this new role. She was a member of Hogan Lovells' International Management Committee, previously chair of the firm's Global Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She headed the firm's Intellectual Property, Media and Technology department in Paris, and was the managing partner of this office from 2010 to 2018.
Marie-Aimée will lead the UK firm at a time of uncertainty due to the pandemic. But that does not detract from her motivation to take on this role.
"I am proud and excited to guide the Board as we navigate the new normal and continue to support our people and deliver a first-class service for our clients," says Marie-Aimée.
