Work wherever you want. Spotify's new model
---
Through "Work From Anywhere", employees will be able to decide how they work and where they work, although the latter may be limited due to time constraints or legislation in the selected location
Can you imagine your firm's lawyers working from different countries? Would it be possible?
Certainly there are many companies that for industry reasons do not allow their employees to work from other countries or cities, but there are internationally relevant companies that do. Now we look at Spotify.
The US company has launched its "Work From Anywhere" initiative, which allows its employees to work remotely from a country or city other than their office. The company also allows its employees to set up a mixed system, alternating face-to-face and telematic attendance.
In the event that an employee chooses a place to work and it does not have one of Spotify's locations, the company can help financially by renting coworking rooms if the employee prefers to work in a more office-like environment.
"Giving our employees more flexibility will help improve work-life balance and help tap into new sources of talent, while retaining our group members," Spotify said in a statement.
In addition to Spotify, many other firms have announced to guarantee a full telecommuting model to their employees, such as Salesforce, Microsoft or Facebook.
